US state department’s special representative on Afghan peace process Zalmay Khalilzad met with Jihadi leader Abdul Rab Rassoul Sayyaf on Tuesday morning.
US state department’s special representative on Afghan peace process Zalmay Khalilzad met with Jihadi leader Abdul Rab Rassoul Sayyaf on Tuesday morning.
During the meeting, they discussed Afghanistan peace process.
“We agree that a national, inclusive, and unified Afghan negotiating team is urgent and necessary,” Khalilzad twitted.
It is worth mentioning that Mr Khalilzad insists on creating a peace negotiating team before holding Loya Jirga (grand assembly). Loya Jirga is expected to be held next month.
