The US special investigator Mueller wants to investigate Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.
Jared Kushner is said to have tried during the election campaign in 2016 to raise money from foreign investors for his real estate projects. Therefore, US special investigator Robert Mueller now wants to investigate outside the Russian affair against the son-in-law of President Donald Trump, reports CNN.
So far, the investigations were about Kushner’s contacts with Russia and the indictment of Russia for influencing the US presidential election in 2016. Now Kushner’s attempts during the election campaign to establish contacts with investors from 15 countries will be investigated.
A week after Trump’s election as US President, Kushner had met with the board of the Chinese insurance group Anbang, as the New York Times reported. Most recently, Kushner’s efforts to raise funds for an office building in New York became public.
In the Russian affair Kushner was at the end of last year in the focus moved: He should have instigated the former national US security adviser Michael Flynn to establish contact with Russia.
Earlier, Donald Trump said the Federal Police do not need to investigate recent suicide attacks in the United States in response to a recent investigation into alleged Russian involvement in the US presidential election.
