Following the bloody Wednesday suicide attack on an academic centre west of Kabul, killing 34 and injuring 56 others, the NUG authorities as well as some political faces condemned the incident and read it as a crime against humanity.
“terrorists martyred and injured a number of students who were studying in an academic centre in PD-18 of Kabul,” the presidential palace (ARG) said in a statement.
According to the statement, president Ghani strongly condemned the terror attack, instructing the relevant authorities to investigate the occurrence of the incident and address the injured and families of the victims.
The Executive Directorate also condemned the bloody incident.
CEO Abdullah described the attack as heinous and cowardly, saying that terror groups never want the people to become educated and enlightened.
“a number of students and innocent youths martyred and inured in the cowardly attack of terrorists. The youths were seeking education; something stone-hearted groups oppose, because they seek ignorance and darkness,” Abdullah said in his message.
According to Mr Abdullah, attack on academic entities and children is a crime against humanity. Terrorist will pay the price of the massacres and violence one day.
The second deputy to the Executive Directorate Mohammad Mohaqiq reacted against the incident and condemned it as well.
Mohammad Mohaqiq expressed his condolence to the families of the bloody victims, saying the deadly incidents of this week have put the country into mourning. Mr Mohaqiq reminded the incident of Ghanzi province as security forces suffered casualties and the people’s assets were torched; the incident in Ajristan district as 100 commando forces were lost; as well as the massacre of soldiers in Faryab’s Ghormach camp; the bloody incidents in Baghlan province as 40 martyred there; Kandahar events and painful incident in an academic centre known as Mawoud.
Mr Mohaqiq pointed to the lack government’s lack of programs in providing the security, adding the government does not consult with elders in this regard.
Mohaqiq: “what is regretful is the lack of plan by the government in defending the provinces and military bases, and the lack of consultation with security and military experts; worse than that is the suspicious vague games against the enemies of the territory. Daesh Takfiri terrorists, who often paint a mosque or an academic center with blood, killing hundreds of people, one day in Jalalabad, the other day in Herat and Gardez and one day in Kabul had been rescued from the Taliban siege, respectfully being transferred to Sheberghan, then, to Kabul; so, whom the people can trust and which government will defend from these people.”
“the other problem is that if the people take guns against extremist groups by selling their assets to defend themselves, they will be described as irresponsible armed men, and the government react against them before Taliban or Daesh can do anything. At the same time, the government has no plan to confront terrorists. The foreigners are also happy of having an allied government, unaware of the fact that the nation is being destroyed while the government leaders are busy saving assets and money abroad.”
The former Afghan president Hamid Karzai also severely denounced the terrorist attack on the academic centre.
The former president described the attack as a clear indication of the anti-human crimes of the enemies of the Afghan people, who feared the progress of young Afghans.
“the attack is against all human and Islamic principles,” Hamid Karzai said.
The Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani described the bloody attack as a new record of crimes.
Rabbani: “The mass killings of adolescents in western Kabul were not the only terrorist crimes this week, but along with the flow of blood in Kabul, Baghlan, Faryab, Takhar and Gardez, and Ghazni, revived the bitter memories the seventies in the minds of the Afghan people.”
It is worth mentioning that authorities revised down on Thursday the death toll from a suicide bomb attack on the educational center to 34 from 48.
