New Conflicts in North is Perilous

The parliament’s Upper House warned over new conflicts in the north, saying it is dangerous for the stability of the country as Nizamuddin Qaisari, a commander close to the first VP Gen. Abdul Rashid Dostum was arrested in northern Faryab province.

The first deputy to the Upper House said during Tuesday session that “it is necessary to keep current stability in the country and the government should pay attention that the detention of public uprising commander Nizamuddin Qaisari will escalate conflicts in northern provinces”.
“The people of the northern provinces of the country are worried about the worsening of the situation in these provinces, and the government should work out foresight,” he added.

Nizamuddin Qaisari was arrested by the security forces on Monday in northern Faryab province. It is said that he was transferred to Kabul.

The detention of Mr Qaisari received various reactions, and the National Coalition for the Salvation of Afghanistan read this measure provocative.
