Peace Process; Kabul is Bearer of Big Incidents

What changes can be on the way? Whether ARG will be cornered in favor of Taliban or a coup like 27 December (6th Jaddi) is coming, with the difference

These days, one of the questions that obsessed Afghan people’s minds, is the peace process, US hasty, and the presidential palace’s slow pace that needs to be answered.
17 years since the collapse of the Taliban regime, Afghanistan has at least been in the midst of a conflict between the Taliban and the current system, but why the issue of peace has not been posed during these years and now somehow moving at the “speed of light”.
On Tuesday, Zamir Kabulov, the Russian president’s special envoy to Afghanistan visited Islamabad and met with Pakistani officials. Interestingly, the aim of his meetings with Pakistani officials was peace in Afghanistan.

In the domestic dimension, the US state department’s special representative on the Afghan peace process Zalmay Khalilzad is in Kabul, meeting current and former Afghan officials.
Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of South and Central Asia Affairs Alice Wells is also in Kabul, meeting government officials.
Mutlaq bin Majed Al-Qahtani, the Special Envoy of the Foreign Minister of the State of Qatar for Counterterrorism and Mediation of Conflict Resolution is in Kabul as well. He has met former and current Afghan government officials.

The presence of these foreign officials in the country with the aim to discuss the peace process, are not accidental. It is the result of a complex process begun by the United States. In the meantime, there are ARG and a circle close to it as well as the political movements against ARG. The presidential palace is seriously saddened of forming an interim administration. President Ghani described it as “stupid”. Amrullah Saleh, the first vice president of Ghani’s electoral ticket said that the key to peace in Afghanistan is in “Rawalpindi”.

Some opposed faces of the government such as Ata Mohammad Noor and Ismail Khan believe the interim administration is the solution to the current crisis.
Today, Kabul weather was cloudy and dismal. The last days of Dr. Najib’s administration were also the same. Perhaps, the last days of previous systems were the same as well. The city seems to have taken a military status. Everywhere was full of military forces and historical incidents seem to take place in capital Kabul city.
Undoubtedly, major changes are on the way as the presence of many foreign officials are not accidental or for entertainment.

What changes can be on the way? Whether ARG will be cornered in favor of Taliban or a coup like 27 December (6th Jaddi) is coming, with the difference that the Soviet military entered on 6th Jaddi, but now the US military is already in the country.
According to the author, the presence of these diplomats can only have one justification, to press ARG in order to accept the interim government.
