“The righteous nation of Afghanistan accepted the republic system and upheld the constitution,” said M. Ashraf Ghani, congratulating the election process in the country.

Appreciating the efforts of the security forces in providing the election security, Mr Ghani said: “they set the stage for an inclusive election and set the stage for a dignified peace.”
“Electoral violations will be legally investigated and prosecuted, and election commissions should fulfill their responsibility,” he stressed. “political leaders should work together to strengthen the republic system.”

“Taliban should put an end to the war and bloodshed and accept the people’s call for peace,” he added, “the door to peace and negotiations is open and Taliban must use this historic opportunity.”
