President Ghani Arrives in Nangarhar

Heading a high-level government delegation, President Ashraf Ghani arrived in Jalalabad, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province, to review the general security situation.

The presidential palace on Thursday morning said in a statement that President Ghani arrived in Jalalabad, where he will meet military and civilian officials, provincial elders, Ulema, Youths, civil activists and various strata of the province.

The visit from Nangarhar province comes as violence and targeted assassinations increased in the country.
