President Ghani, Rex Tillerson to Visit India Tuesday
President Ghani and US secretary of state Rex Tillerson are expected to arrive in India Tuesday to discuss regional issues.
President Ghani will be in India in an official visit to discuss bilateral exchanges between the two countries.
According to Indian news service, during the visit, president Ghani will meet with the Indian president Ram Nath Kovind and some other top officials of the country.
President Ghani will also give a public address at Vivekanand International Foundation.
Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will also arrive in New Delhi Tuesday to underline the Trump administration’s strategy to make India the centerpiece of Washington’s South Asia policy, with an eye on bringing stabilizing Afghanistan and establishing a rules-based order in the Indo-Pacific to counter-balance an expansionist China.
The report also said that he will visit Islamabad ahead of New Delhi during his five-nation trip and is expected to deliver a blunt message to his Pakistani hosts, once in Islamabad, about cracking down on terror safe havens of terror.
