Why President went to Balkh Instead of Minister!
Mr. Ghani’s visit from Balkh took place while police forces in Kabul airport prevented the water and power minister Ali Ahmad Osmani flying to the province.
The head of NUG Ashraf Ghani traveled to Mazar-e Sharif, the capital of northen Balkh province on Wednesday. The aim of the visit was opening a substation in Kholm district and a power distributing network in Marmal district of Balkh province.
Mr. Ghani’s visit from Balkh took place while police forces in Kabul airport prevented the water and power minister Ali Ahmad Osmani flying to the province.
In all countries, the minister of a country travel to different provinces to inaugurate projects, and only for a national and costed projects, the president along with a high-level delegation with the related minister as top travel to open it. But in two past events, Herat and now Balkh, the security forces prevented the water and power minister Osmani to travel to the provinces in order to inaugurate the projects.
Why Ashraf Ghani traveled to Balkh instead of Mr Osmani?
Mr. Ghani has a long history in populism, shrugging and eliminating his political opponents. Although he had studied at one of the best universities in the world and considers himself a specialist in the field of ” reconstructing post-war countries,” on the contrary, he has no rightful insight, not only in reconstructing the post-war countries, but also he does not know the alphabet of a democratic government.
Democratic governments are composed of a cabinet and ministers, many of whom belong to a party or parties that are counted as the rivals of the president (during the election and political perspectives). But after the formation of the government, they work together and do not change national interests with their populism and their personal interests.
However, Mr Ghani is acting so fanatical that even does not allow a minister to participate in opening a project which was built under his department.
With this demeanor, Mr Ghani’s objective is not only an ‘insult’ to the relevant minister, but also in contrast with the national interests as the MPs protested at the parliament as well. What Ghani wants from these political actions; is to attract the people’s attention. With such populistic dictatorship, he wants to record all positive things in this geography in his own name, and to put all miscalculation and corruption in his governance on the shoulders of other people.
