Putin to Leave for Tehran

The Russian president Vladimir Putin is expected to travel to Tehran and will meet the Iranian president Hassan Rouhani.
According to Mr. Putin’s official twitter, the Russian president will travel to Tehran Wednesday to meet with the Iranian president.
Vladimir Putin travels to Tehran while the US had previously expressed concerns over close cooperation between Tehran and Moscow.

This is the second trip of Mr. Putin to Tehran, two years ago, he traveled to Iran and met with the Iranian leader Mr. Khamenei.
The relations between Iran and Russia entered a new phase after Middle East crisis, as well as both countries, experienced military cooperation in the Syrian war.
The two countries expanded their economic cooperation after US vowed new sanctions against Iran and Russia.
