Putin to Travel to Iran
Russian president Vladimir Putin will travel to Iran on 23 November.
According to Radio Azadi, a senior Kremlin foreign policy official Yuri Ushakov said that Putin will travel to Iran to attend a meeting of gas exporting countries in Tehran, hosted by Iran.
This will be Putin’s first trip to Tehran since 2007. But Ushakov said Putin is expected to separately meet with the Iranian leaders, probably with the country’s president Hassan Rouhani.
Iran will host a conference of natural gas with the participation of twelve countries.
