Qatar has reportedly appointed Saeed Mubarak al Khayarin al Hajri as its new ambassador to Afghanistan by issuing a decree on Monday.
Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani, in a decree, appointed Saeed Mubarak al Khayarin al Hajri as ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Qatar Tribune reported.

According to reports, Qatar has also appointed Mohammed Abdullah Obaid al Dehaimi as its ambassador to China, and Fahad Ibrahim al Hamad al Mana as ambassador to Morocco.

The appointment of Saeed Mubarak as Qatar’s envoy to Kabul comes as Doha has hosted several rounds of Afghan peace talks between the Taliban – US delegations.
However, it seems that Qatar has undertaken new efforts after recent tensions over intra-Afghan dialogue between the Afghan politicians and Taliban representatives.
