Reactions After New US Strategy against Iran


After the US president Donald Trump vowed his country’s new strategy against Iran, different reactions were shown about the strategy; for and against reactions!
According to DID news agency report, Donald Trump announced the new US strategy against Iran on Friday. Parts of the strategy were dedicated to boycotting the Revolutionary Guards and the nuclear deal (Bargam).
Meanwhile, different kinds of reactions can be seen in this regard:
Trump’s decision even followed for and against reaction in the political parties of Washington. Former US secretary of state Jihn Kerry stood in the critics’ queue. He has said: “Trump’s today decision about Bargam is dangerous, adding he is creating an international crisis. This crisis will jeopardize US national interests and our closest allies.”
“Iran has been committed to the nuclear deal, and as long as they do so, we and our allies are safe,” former US secretary of state wrote on his twitter.
“Whatever the reasons for the president, the fact is weakening us by shaking the agreement, alienates us from our allies,” the American politician underlined.

Former Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta also told CNN yesterday that the decision of Mr. Tramp is alarming, since in the minds of the world he “draws up a president who wants to angrily cancel an agreement, but does not have a definite plan for it.
“The presidents are judged in the history for the bridges they built, not the bridges they destroyed,” Mr. Panetta added.

On the other hand, press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov warned the US quitting the deal may have very and very negative consequences.
“Such actions undoubtedly will affect the atmosphere of predictability, security, stability and non-proliferation in the world; they may affect the situation around the Iranian nuclear dossier,” he added.

The European Union reacted to Trump’s decision about “Bargam” saying that “This is not a bilateral agreement nor national. No country is able to cancel it. This is a multilateral agreement which was approved by the UN Security Council vote,” said Federica Mogherini, the EU foreign policy chief during a press conference.
“We believe we have a shared responsibility for our common security. The US president has a lot of power, but he is not in power to terminate the nuclear deal with Iran,” she stressed.

On the other hand, the United Nations also insisted on keeping Bargam. Stephane Dujarric, the UN spokesperson says: Antonio Guteres believes that Iran’s nuclear agreement and the P5+1 group strengthen peace and security in the world.
Dujarric further said the UN Secretary-General hopes the nuclear deal with Iran will be maintained.

Meanwhile, US secretary of state Rex Tillerson who has been portrayed as the main architect of the White House strategy against Iran, stressed that his country does not intend to quit the deal.
The new Trump strategy against Iran has become public while Tehran has always insisted on its commitments to the agreement and accused Washington of taking hostile policies against the Islamic Republic.

Earlier, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have faced sanctions by America, which according to some political and regional analysts, what has been said in the new US strategy in connection with the sanctions of the Revolutionary Guards, has more advertising aspect to attract the attention of countries such as Saudi Arabia and Israel.
