Peace and negotiation with Taliban group is a hot issue these days. It can be said that Afghanistan’s presidency and all political addresses are involved with the issue of peace with Taliban.
Afghan president Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has recently had a consultative meeting with Jihadi leaders and country’s political elites about peace and negotiation with Taliban. But a source told DID press agency that the presidency is pushing to have the support of Taliban group in the upcoming presidential election scheduled for 2019.

The source who asked not to be named, added: president Ghani is pushing to get the Taliban’s support in the upcoming election as he himself knows that people less believe in him in the next election.
It is unlikely that Persian ethnic groups vote to Ghani in the next election and even a large part of Pashtun society will not choose Ghani as president again, the source said.

Earlier, some analysts on the eve of the ceasefire between the government and Taliban had said that Ghani is trying to create an achievement to get the power again.
