“Afghan crisis is not just a product of domestic problems and Afghanistan is trying to create a positive outlook in the region,” president Ghani said. adding that “the situation is critical, but there are opportunities in every crisis”.
Mr. Ghani did not say which side was following a separate scenario for Afghanistan, but added that the EU is not following a separate scenario and honestly supports the Afghan system.

The EU’s high representative on foreign affairs Federica Mogherini, meanwhile, said that an appropriate opportunity has been provided to bring peace in Afghanistan and the Afghan people should use from this opportunity.
“EU’s aids continue to be in line with the Afghan government’s commitment to fighting corruption and bringing security,” she stressed.

According to Ms Mogherini, some efforts on peace have resulted. But the peace that comes to Afghanistan should respect the values that have been gained over the past few years, including women’s rights.

It is worth mentioning that Federica Mogherini had already visited Islamabad and discussed Afghan peace process with some Pakistani officials.
