Around 8:30 am, Sunday morning, a car bomb explosion occurred near the National Directorate of Security station in Ghazni province.
At least 12 killed, including 8 security forces and over 50, mostly school kids wounded in a car bombing in Ghazni city.
The attack comes as the intra-Afghan conference set to begin in Doha, Qatar, where both US and Taliban expressed satisfaction from the talks.
US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad wrote on Twitter that after 6 days of consultations, the current talks were “the most productive session to date”.
“We made substantive progress on all 4 parts of peace agreement: counter terrorism assurances, troop withdrawal, participation in intra-Afghan dialogue, and negotiations, and permanent and comprehensive ceasefire”, Khalilzad explained on Twitter.
