UN Urges Independent Investigation into Civilian Massacre in Gaza
DIDPress: UN Secretary-General António Guterres demanded an immediate independent investigation into Sunday’s shooting near an aid distribution center in Rafah, southern Gaza – an attack that Palestinian sources say resulted in the killing of at least 31 people and wounding dozens of others.

Reports indicate that military forces of the Zionist regime opened fire on civilians who had gathered to receive humanitarian aid.
The Red Crescent reported that it received 179 wounded at its clinic in Gaza, 21 of whom later succumbed to their injuries. Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) also published testimonies of drone, tank, helicopter, and Israeli naval vessel fire targeting civilians.
However, the army of the Zionist regime denied these allegations, claiming its forces did not fire at civilians.
In an official statement, Guterres stressed that he was “horrified by reports of civilian massacres during aid distribution in Gaza” and demanded identification and punishment of those responsible for the incident.
In response, the Foreign Minister of the Zionist regime described Guterres’ statement as “scandalous” and criticized him for failing to mention Hamas role in the incident.
