Taliban killed Gholam Tahya Khan, the former provincial member of western Ghor province. A spokesperson said on Wednesday.
“Gholam Yahya Khan was killed by Taliban when the insurgents attacked Chaharsada district late on Tueseday night,” said Iqbal Nezami, the provincial police spokesman.
According to Nezami, Gholam Yahya’s son is the police chief of Chaharsada district.
The insurgents killed former provincial member along with two others in the “Malang” village of the Chaharsadda district, he added.
Gholam Yahya Khan was a key figure during Jihad in the province and had always fought against the Taliban.
