Taliban’s Key Commander Killed in Logar – Interior Ministry

A key commander of Taliban group known as “Hemmat” along with two of his men were killed in a special operation in Logar province, the Interior Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.


A key commander of Taliban group known as “Hemmat” along with two of his men were killed in a special operation in Logar province, the Interior Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

According to the statement, the country’s special police forces conducted an operation Monday 6 August in (DadoKhil) village of Mohammed Agha district in Logar province.
Najibullah known as “Hemmat” – a key Taliban commander – along with two of his men were killed as a result of the operation, the statement added.
The statement further said that Hemmat has a key role in the widespread attacks in Mohammed Agha district of Logar province.
Police forces and civilians were not harmed in this operation.

The Interior Ministry emphasized that the special police forces target key terrorist fighters by launching special operations, in which, they killed dozens of terror group’s affiliates.
