Kabul Garrison commander says that terrorist attacks in Kabul have dropped by 50 percent lately.
“In the past year, the terrorist attacks have dropped by 50 percent because the fight against terrorism is a top priority,” said General Raz Mohammad, the Kabul Garrison commander during a joint meeting of sector ministries, civil and military departments.
“Kabul security team put the fight against terrorism a priority during the past year which resulted in downing terrorist attacks by 50 percent,” he added.

According to him, there are two major challenges, one is the addicts that the relevant institutions must make a special place for them, and the other is the increasing population in Kabul, which is estimated that 8 million people are currently living in Kabul city.

“Kabul was formerly a hotbed for gangs. Fortunately, now gangs in Kabul are either jailed or killed,” said Sayed M. Roshandel, Kabul police commander.
Referring to the fact that 19 police have been arrested for corruption charges and 50 others are under prosecution, he added: “We consider reforming the security sector structure, which, after evaluations, we developed a one-year plan and reshuffled some of the district governors and district commanders”.

However, Kabul is still extremely insecure and people in northern and eastern parts of the city have always complained about the lack of security.
