Ukrainian Drone Strike Targets Oil Refinery in Russia

DID Press: A major oil refinery owned by state energy giant Gazprom in Russia’s Bashkortostan Republic was hit by a drone attack, sparking a fire, local officials confirmed.

The regional governor said the incident was the result of “a terrorist attack using two fixed-wing drones” against the Gazprom Neftekhim facility. He added that no casualties were reported and the fire has been brought under control, though damage assessments are still underway.

Initial reports indicate that the strike damaged a key crude oil refining and distillation unit, potentially disrupting the refinery’s operational capacity significantly.
