DID Press: US officials in their initial assessments have stated that continuing a direct war with Iran would impose a cost of nearly $1B per day on the United States. This figure includes operational expenses for U.S. forces, deployment and maintenance of aircraft carriers, fighter jet flights, activation of air defense systems, ammunition consumption, and extensive logistical support costs in the region.

At the same time, it has been warned that the continuation of this conflict could have significant economic and security consequences; consequences that would affect not only the U.S., but also global energy markets and maritime security in the Persian Gulf.
Experts have said that any escalation of tensions could destabilize energy prices and put vital global trade routes at risk.
