27000 Displaced following Recent Conflicts in Balkhab: UN
UNAMA says that humanitarian partners are providing food, tents, and other necessary supplies to 16 thousand of people in the Balkhab district of northern Sar-e Pul province.
The United Nations Assistance Mission for Afghanistan (UNAMA) said in a statement on Tuesday that 27,000 people have been displaced in the Balkhab district of Sar-e Pul province due to the recent conflicts.
Humanitarian partners are providing food, tents, and other supplies to more than 10,000 people in Balkhab and 6,000 people in Bamyan province, said the statement.
It is worth mentioning that as a result of recent clashes between Taliban members and Mawlawi Mahdi, the Hazara commander of this group, thousands of families have been displaced from the Balkhab district of Sar-e Pul to mountains and neighboring districts, needing basic living materials.
