DID Press: Italy decided to suspend the automatic renewal of its defense cooperation agreement with Israel, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni announced.

Speaking on the sidelines of an event in Verona, Meloni said the decision was taken “in light of the current circumstances.”
The agreement reportedly covers cooperation in military equipment exchange and joint research in defense technologies between Italy and Israel.
The move comes amid shifting regional dynamics that have prompted some countries to reassess their defense ties with Israel.
Analysts say recent developments in the Middle East have contributed to growing international scrutiny of defense partnerships and diplomatic alignments.
