Canada Pledges $40M in Humanitarian Aid to Lebanon

According to the report, the aid will be distributed through international organizations to vulnerable populations across various regions of Lebanon. The initiative aims to support citizens facing severe livelihood challenges following economic crises and recent security confrontations.
Meanwhile, Mélanie Joly reaffirmed Canada’s support for Lebanon’s sovereignty, condemning recent airstrikes by Israel and calling for de-escalation and the preservation of regional stability.
Lebanon has faced mounting security tensions and economic pressures in recent months, prompting repeated calls from the international community for urgent humanitarian assistance to stabilize conditions and address growing social needs.
