Emergency Aid Reaches 2,300 Flood-Hit Families Across Afghanistan
DID Press: International Organization for Migration has delivered emergency non-food assistance to more than 2,300 families affected by recent flooding across Afghanistan, as humanitarian needs continue to rise.

According to the agency, the distributed relief packages included essential items such as tents, blankets, kitchen utensils, and other basic household supplies aimed at easing the immediate hardships faced by displaced and flood-affected communities.
Recent floods triggered by heavy rainfall in multiple regions have caused extensive damage to infrastructure, homes, and agricultural land, leaving thousands of families struggling with shelter shortages and limited access to essential services.
Field assessments by the organization indicate that many affected households remain in urgent need of continued support, particularly in the areas of temporary shelter, safe drinking water, healthcare services, and essential living supplies.
The International Organization for Migration also warned that ongoing rainfall and the risk of additional flooding could further worsen humanitarian conditions in vulnerable areas and complicate relief operations.
