Iranian Oil Shipment Reaches India Despite Naval Blockade Claims

DID Press: Iranian supertanker “Dorna” has been recorded near the southern coast of India despite reported US naval restrictions, with plans to deliver around two million barrels of crude oil to an Indian refinery, according to ship-tracking data.

The oil tracking firm Tanker Trackers reported that the Iranian vessel “Dorna,” after departing Iranian waters shortly before the onset of the blockade, has now appeared in the Automatic Identification System (AIS) near southern India. The tanker is carrying approximately two million barrels of crude oil, destined for a refinery in the country.

According to the same source, India has received three oil shipments from Iran over the past week, bringing total recorded imports during this period to around six million barrels.
