Taliban Urges Regional States to Invite Afghanistan to Key Intl Meetings
DID Press: Suhail Shaheen called on regional countries to invite Afghanistan to major regional and international meetings, saying the country should be represented in discussions affecting its people.

Speaking to media outlets, Shaheen said the Taliban administration is the “ruling system across all of Afghanistan” and therefore should participate in important diplomatic gatherings. He argued that Afghanistan’s inclusion in such forums is necessary for protecting the interests of its citizens.
Shaheen also claimed that Taliban participation in regional meetings could strengthen economic, security, and political coordination among neighboring countries.
The remarks come as many states still have not formally recognized the Taliban government, and the group’s participation in official international forums remains a contentious diplomatic issue.
