Taliban Launch Recruitment of Top University Graduates
DID Press: Ministry of Higher Education of Taliban has announced the formal launch of a recruitment process for more than 1,555 top-performing graduates to serve in government institutions, following a directive from the Taliban leader.

According to officials, the process was initiated under the guidance of Hibatullah Akhundzada and includes “first-ranked” students from universities and religious seminaries who will undergo a specialized examination and evaluation.
The ministry said that selected candidates will be appointed across various state institutions, including the Supreme Court, the Ministry of Guidance, Hajj and Religious Affairs, and other government bodies, depending on administrative needs.
Officials described the program as an effort to better utilize the academic and professional capacities of highly qualified youth within the state structure, involving both university graduates and madrasa students.
However, independent observers and rights groups have previously raised concerns about recruitment processes under Taliban rule, citing allegations of limited merit-based transparency and unequal access to public sector employment opportunities.
