Start of Hajj Rituals: 30,000 Afghan Pilgrims Moved to Mina

DID Press: Afghanistan authorities say 30,000 Afghan pilgrims have been transferred to Mina as the annual Hajj pilgrimage officially begins with the Day of Tarwiyah.

The Ministry of Guidance, Hajj and Endowments under the Taliban administration stated that the movement of pilgrims from their accommodations in Mecca to Mina began early today, marking the start of the main Hajj rituals.

According to the report, more than 1.5 million Muslims from around the world are participating in this year’s pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia, with operations taking place under heightened security and logistical arrangements.

Officials said Afghan pilgrims will proceed with the next stages of the pilgrimage, including standing at Arafat and Muzdalifah, according to the established Hajj schedule.
