EU Raises Flood Relief Funding for Afghanistan to €225,000
DID Press: European Union has announced an additional €50,000 in emergency assistance for communities affected by recent devastating floods in Afghanistan, bringing its total support to €225,000.

The European Union said the floods have severely impacted local communities across multiple regions and further worsened the country’s existing humanitarian crisis.
According to the announcement, the latest funds will be channeled through the Disaster Response Emergency Fund of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, ensuring rapid delivery of assistance.
The support package is intended to provide cash assistance, emergency shelter, clean drinking water, healthcare services, and other essential needs for flood-affected families.
EU officials emphasized that the funding is aimed at reducing the suffering of affected populations and strengthening humanitarian response efforts in Afghanistan following the disaster.
