Iranian Business Delegation Arrives in Kabul to Expand Trade and Mining Cooperation

DID Press: An Iranian business delegation led by the head of the Joint Chamber of Commerce of Iran and Afghanistan has arrived in Kabul for talks aimed at strengthening trade ties, expanding economic cooperation, and exploring investment opportunities between the two neighboring countries.

According to the Iranian Embassy in Kabul, the delegation, comprising representatives of Iran’s private sector, will hold meetings in both Kabul and Mazar-i-Sharif to discuss ways to boost bilateral commerce and deepen economic engagement.

The visit comes amid ongoing efforts by both sides to increase cross-border trade and encourage private-sector participation in key economic sectors.

Separately, Alireza Bikdeli met with Abdul Rahman Qanit to discuss cooperation in the mining sector and opportunities for expanding investment in mineral development projects.

According to the statement, the two sides exchanged views on mechanisms for enhancing collaboration in mining and related industries, a sector widely regarded as having significant potential for economic growth and regional cooperation.

The visit reflects continued efforts by Iran and Afghanistan to strengthen economic links through trade, infrastructure, and resource development initiatives.
