DID Press: A committee organizing the commemoration of “martyrdom of the revolutionary leader” Ayatollah Seyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei has released detailed arrangements for farewell, funeral, and burial ceremonies scheduled across several cities in Iran.

According to the third official communiqué issued by the organizing headquarters, a series of ceremonies will take place between 4–9 July 2026 in Tehran, Qom, and Mashhad.
The schedule states that the first farewell ceremony will be held on Saturday, 4 July, at the Imam Khomeini Grand Prayer Hall in Tehran. A day later, on Sunday, 5 July, a formal farewell event and funeral prayer will be held at the same venue.
The procession of the remains is scheduled for Monday, 6 July, in Tehran, followed by another stage of the funeral ceremony in Qom on Tuesday, 7 July.
The final stage of the funeral rites and burial ceremony is set for Thursday, 9 July in Mashhad, at the shrine of Imam Reza (AS), according to the announcement.
The statement did not provide further details regarding security arrangements or attendance protocols, noting that additional information would be released later.
