Central Asia–Afghanistan Expert Meeting Held on Sidelines of Termez Dialogue
DID Press: A high-level Central Asia–Afghanistan expert meeting was held on the sidelines of the Termez Dialogue on regional connectivity, bringing together prominent policymakers and analysts to discuss Afghanistan’s role in strengthening regional integration.

According to the Afghanistan Center for Strategic Studies, participants highlighted Afghanistan’s strategic position as a bridge between Central and South Asia and called for sustained dialogue, pragmatic cooperation, and the implementation of inclusive economic initiatives.
Attendees described Afghanistan’s role in developing trade corridors, expanding transport and energy connectivity, and creating new transit routes as “key” to advancing regional integration.
The center said discussions focused on enhancing trade corridors, strengthening transportation and energy networks, and building trust among regional countries through continued engagement and cooperation.
