DID Press: Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Switzerland to take part in a new round of Iran–United States negotiations, held after the signing of a ceasefire framework agreement, according to official sources.

The talks are being held in the Burgenstock region with mediation reportedly led by Pakistan and Qatar, bringing together senior delegations from Tehran and Washington.
According to the Pakistani Prime Minister’s Office, Army Chief General Asim Munir will also participate in the discussions, alongside diplomatic and security officials.
From the United States side, Special Envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff and other senior officials have arrived in Switzerland, while Vice President JD Vance is also expected to attend and focus discussions on Iran’s nuclear program and the Lebanon ceasefire.
Iran’s delegation is led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, accompanied by Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, along with central bank and national security officials.
The meeting marks the first formal round of talks between Tehran and Washington following the reported ceasefire agreement, with mediation roles attributed to Pakistan and Qatar.
