Kabul, Astana Hold Talks on Security and Economic Cooperation

DID Press: Taliban’s Ministry of Interior Affairs says Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani met a Kazakh delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin in Kabul, where both sides discussed expanding bilateral cooperation.

According to the statement, the two sides held talks on regional security conditions, joint counter-narcotics efforts, transit and trade issues, technological cooperation, and broader political and economic relations.

The discussions also focused on strengthening regional coordination and creating mechanisms to expand economic engagement between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan.

Officials further emphasized that conditions are currently favorable for increasing trade and investment in Afghanistan, urging both sides to take advantage of emerging opportunities for economic development.
