Kazakhstan Expands Humanitarian and Medical Support for Afghanistan
DID Press: Kazakhstan has deployed a team of specialist doctors to Afghanistan to provide medical treatment and perform surgeries, while also delivering more than 318 tons of humanitarian assistance to the country.

According to Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Health, the medical mission includes specialists in orthopedics, traumatology, cardiology, pediatrics, general surgery, urology, pulmonology, and epidemiology. The team is currently working in local hospitals across Afghanistan.
The mission is primarily focused on treating patients with severe injuries and congenital musculoskeletal disorders. Orthopedic specialists are reportedly examining up to 40 patients daily and performing three to four reconstructive surgeries each day.
Kazakh officials said the initiative aims to support Afghanistan’s healthcare sector and provide specialized treatment for patients who have limited access to advanced medical services.
The deployment marks Kazakhstan’s second major medical mission to Afghanistan following humanitarian assistance efforts launched after last year’s earthquake.
Alongside the medical team, Kazakhstan has also delivered approximately 318.8 tons of humanitarian aid, underscoring ongoing cooperation and relief efforts aimed at supporting vulnerable communities in Afghanistan.
