Imam Khamenei’s Thought Centered on Qur’anic Insight, Says Iranian Envoy

DID Press: Iran’s cultural attaché in Afghanistan has emphasized the central role of “insight” in the intellectual framework of the late Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei (Martyred Leader of Islamic Revolution), saying Islamic societies today require deeper Qur’anic understanding to confront cognitive warfare and cultural challenges.

Dr. Seyed Ruhollah Hosseini, cultural counselor of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Afghanistan, made the remarks at a seminar titled “Quran, Preservation of Insight among Muslim Women and Its Role in Identity Formation,” highlighting the Qur’an as the primary source of human guidance.

He said that true insight stems from reflection, reasoning, and continuous engagement with the Qur’an rather than the accumulation of information alone, adding that divine guidance for those who strive in God’s path remains a core source of hope for the Muslim community.

Hosseini also stressed the role of women in Islamic society, stating that according to the Qur’an and the late leader’s thought, women hold a central position in family stability, education of future generations, and the development of Islamic identity.

He warned against what he described as cognitive warfare, cultural infiltration, and digital threats targeting Islamic values and family structures, arguing that such challenges can only be countered through stronger faith, awareness, and sustained connection with the Qur’an.

The envoy concluded that daily engagement with the Qur’an, combined with reflection on its verses, is the most effective path to strengthening insight and preserving Islamic identity.

The remarks were made during a seminar held at the Iranian cultural office in Kabul, attended by religious scholars, Qur’an reciters, and women activists, coinciding with commemorative events for the late Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei (Martyred Leader of Islamic Revolution).
