Iraqi Lawmaker: Mass Funeral Processions Have Angered Trump

DID Press: Iraqi lawmaker Faleh Al-Khazali said the large funeral processions held in Iran and Iraq have angered U.S. President Donald Trump, describing the public turnout as a sign of growing regional solidarity.

Al-Khazali said millions of people who took part in the ceremonies had sent a clear message that, in his view, Washington and Trump were unable to ignore.

He also claimed that millions of others were unable to attend the funeral events because of various restrictions, adding that the scale of public participation had left Trump “angry and confused.” He described the reaction as evidence of what he called the weakening influence of the United States and its allies.

The Iraqi lawmaker further argued that what he described as Trump’s recent emotional responses reflected Washington’s concern over the regional impact of the funeral processions. According to Al-Khazali, the events have altered regional dynamics and demonstrated public solidarity against U.S. and Israeli policies.

He added that recent developments represent a turning point in regional affairs and called on governments in the region to pursue new approaches to cooperation and collective security.
