DID Press: Pakistan and China have agreed to enhance cooperation in counterterrorism, internal security, and border management during a meeting between Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and China’s Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong at the United Nations headquarters in New York City.

The two officials discussed strengthening strategic cooperation between the two countries, including joint efforts against terrorism, illegal migration, drug trafficking, and improved border security.
Naqvi, who is attending the two-day United Nations Chiefs of Police Summit 2026, emphasized the importance of preventing terrorist financing and called for collective action against entities supporting militant groups.
He also said Pakistan has established a special protection force to ensure the security of Chinese nationals working in Pakistan.
