IRGC Says It Targeted US Military Bases in Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait

DID Press: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) says it has launched a series of missile and drone strikes against U.S. military bases in Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait, claiming to have destroyed Patriot air defense systems, fuel depots and missile launch platforms in retaliation for reported U.S. attacks on Iranian coastal positions.

In four consecutive statements issued on Monday, the IRGC said its Aerospace Force carried out multiple attacks on U.S. military and logistical facilities across the region.

According to the statements, the first wave targeted the Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan, where the IRGC claimed missile depots and fuel storage facilities were set ablaze. A second statement said facilities for helicopter maintenance, a P-8 electronic warfare aircraft hangar, and a U.S. drone command center at Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain were struck.

In a third statement, the IRGC claimed it had destroyed fuel storage facilities and a Patriot air defense system at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, as well as an FPS strategic radar system at Ahmad Al Jaber Air Base, adding that its retaliatory operations were continuing.

Regional media also reported explosions in Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait, activation of air raid sirens, and smoke rising near the headquarters of the U.S. Fifth Fleet. Bahraini authorities urged residents to seek shelter, while Jordan temporarily suspended operations at Amman International Airport following reports of explosions near Muwaffaq Salti Air Base.

In its fourth statement, the IRGC said its ground forces had targeted a U.S. surface-to-surface missile base in Kuwait, claiming to have destroyed two HIMARS launchers and missile storage facilities. The force described the operation as part of Iran’s response to what it called U.S. aggression and said military operations would continue until the attacks cease.
