Operation Nasr II: IRGC Strikes US Bases Across Gulf Region

DID Press: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) says it has expanded its “Nasr II” military operation, claiming to have launched missile and drone strikes against U.S. military facilities in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan, as regional tensions continue to escalate. The claims have not been independently verified.

According to statements issued by the IRGC and reports from regional media, the latest phase of the operation targeted several U.S. military installations across the Gulf. The IRGC said its retaliatory campaign remains ongoing.

In Bahrain, the Interior Ministry announced that emergency warning sirens had been activated and urged residents to seek shelter. Iranian state media reported that the IRGC had targeted weapons storage facilities, a satellite communications center, and residential buildings used by U.S. personnel at the Naval Support Activity Bahrain in Juffair. These claims have not been independently confirmed.

Reports from Jordan said explosions were heard near the Muwaffaq Al-Salti Air Base, while local media reported continued missile activity and the activation of warning sirens in parts of the country.

In Kuwait, regional media reported that U.S.-linked facilities had come under attack and that air defense systems had been activated. However, authorities had not independently confirmed the reported strikes at the time of publication.

The IRGC also claimed that two “non-compliant” supertankers operating near the Strait of Hormuz were struck after allegedly disabling their navigation systems and entering what it described as a mined maritime route. No independent confirmation of the incident was immediately available.

Separate reports indicated that warning sirens were also activated in Abu Dhabi and Erbil, although the circumstances surrounding those alerts remain unclear and have not been independently verified.

The reported developments come amid intensifying military tensions between Iran and the United States, raising concerns over regional security, maritime navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, and potential disruptions to global energy supplies.
