Taliban Deploys Team to Assess Deadly Flood Damage in Nuristan

DID Press: Afghanistan’s Taliban-led National Disaster Management Authority has dispatched a high-level delegation to Nuristan Province to assess the impact of recent floods and coordinate assistance for affected families.

According to the authority’s spokesperson, the delegation will evaluate the extent of the damage, improve coordination of relief efforts, and accelerate rescue operations in flood-hit areas.

Official figures show that the recent flooding in Nuristan has killed 23 people, left more than 100 missing, and injured 80 others. Search-and-rescue operations and damage assessments remain ongoing.

Authorities said the deployment is intended to strengthen emergency response efforts and facilitate the delivery of humanitarian assistance to communities affected by the disaster.
