Taliban-Led Afghan Trade Delegation Begins Uzbekistan Visit

DID Press: A high-level delegation from Afghanistan’s Taliban-led Chamber of Commerce and Investment, headed by its chairman and accompanied by more than 100 Afghan traders and investors, has departed for a three-day visit to Uzbekistan aimed at expanding bilateral trade and investment.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the chamber said the delegation’s program includes meetings with officials from Syrdarya Region, business-to-business (B2B) sessions between Afghan and Uzbek companies, and visits to manufacturing and industrial facilities.

According to the chamber, the visit is intended to strengthen commercial ties, promote investment opportunities, and deepen long-term economic cooperation between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.

The trip comes as the Taliban administration continues to pursue closer economic engagement with neighboring countries through trade and private-sector partnerships.
