Iraq Registers Nearly 16,000 Service Camps for Arbaeen Pilgrimage

DID Press: Iraqi authorities have registered 15,817 Hussaini service camps (Mawakib) to provide assistance to pilgrims during the Arbaeen pilgrimage, according to the Karbala Police Command.

A statement issued by Iraq’s Ministry of Interior said the registration process has been completed following the fulfillment of all required administrative procedures.

The registered service camps will be stationed across Karbala and along the main routes leading to the holy city, offering a wide range of services to millions of pilgrims expected to attend the annual Arbaeen commemoration.

Officials said the registered camps include more than 200 Arab and international Mawakib, reflecting broad regional and international participation in supporting the pilgrimage.

Separately, the Iraqi Council of Ministers announced that next Monday and Tuesday will be observed as official public holidays to mark the occasion of Arbaeen.
