DID Press: Abdul Ghafour Rawan Farhadi, a veteran Afghan diplomat and the country’s ninth Permanent Representative to the United Nations, has died at the age of 96 in San Francisco, California.
Farhadi was widely regarded as one of Afghanistan’s most distinguished diplomats. Beyond his diplomatic career, he made significant contributions to the country’s cultural, historical, and academic fields, authoring numerous books and scholarly works.
