DID Press: Afghanistan’s national cricket team will face Ireland in the fourth One-Day International (ODI) on Wednesday, August 12, as the Afghan side looks to strengthen its lead in the series.
The match is scheduled to begin at 2:15 p.m. Kabul time at Belfast’s cricket ground, with Ireland hosting the series.
Afghanistan has produced the stronger performances in the series so far. The opening match was abandoned because of heavy rain, while Afghanistan won the second ODI by 92 runs, powered by an impressive bowling performance. The Afghan side also won the third match by three wickets.
Ireland are yet to record a victory in the series and face increased pressure heading into the fourth encounter. Afghanistan, meanwhile, will seek another win to secure a decisive advantage.
The fifth and final ODI of the series is scheduled for August 15 in Belfast.
