Anti-Taliban Forces Advance Near Nusay District Center in Badakhshan

DID Press: Forces affiliated with Juma khan Fateh have advanced toward the center of Nusay district in northeastern Afghanistan’s Badakhshan province, local sources said, as fighting with the Taliban intensifies.

The sources said Fateh’s forces had captured two Taliban checkpoints in the Dawabi and Sarkoh areas, while fighting continued in Dolowakh.

Several news sources, citing Taliban officials, reported that five Taliban members had been killed, 16 wounded and at least five others were missing in the clashes.

The reported advances and intensifying fighting have put the Taliban’s position in Nusay under significant pressure.The claims could not be independently verified, and the Taliban have not publicly commented on the reported casualties.
