Tehran Warns Damascus of Missile Strikes on More Than 100 Strategic Targets

DID Press: Iran has sent direct warnings to Damascus and other regional capitals, threatening a broader military confrontation if Syria takes military action against Hezbollah in Lebanon, according to UniNews.

The warnings reportedly include the threat of missile strikes against more than 100 strategic targets in Syria, including the Syrian presidential palace.

According to UniNews, Tehran conveyed the messages through Turkey to Damascus, warning that any Syrian action against Hezbollah would trigger a wider confrontation on Syrian territory.

Iran also informed Ankara, Baghdad, Doha and Riyadh that any military escalation against Hezbollah would seriously destabilize regional security and could alter the geopolitical balance in the region.

The report did not provide independent confirmation of the alleged Iranian threats or details on whether Damascus has responded to the warnings.
