Afghanistan, Kuwait Seek to Expand Trade and Investment Cooperation

DID Press: Afghanistan and Kuwait have discussed expanding trade and investment cooperation, according to Afghanistan’s embassy in Kuwait.

Mohammad Shafiq Khatib, Afghanistan’s chargé d’affaires in Kuwait, met with Kuwaiti investor Ajeej Khalaf and a number of Kuwaiti businessmen and investors to discuss Afghanistan’s economic potential and investment opportunities. The meeting also covered security and stability, as well as potential areas for investment.

Khatib invited Kuwaiti investors to visit Afghanistan and explore investment opportunities firsthand. The Taliban authorities have been seeking to attract foreign investment and expand economic and trade ties with countries in the region and beyond.
